Novazzano - Paradox Engineering announced it has signed a Reseller Agreement with NEC Europe Ltd.: NEC Europe will resell Paradox Engineering’s PE.AMI Smart City solution. Acknowledging the uniqueness and high value of Paradox Engineering’s technology and expertise as well as its solid track record of Smart City deployments spanning Cities such as Paris and San Francisco, NEC has chosen Paradox Engineering as its technology provider to respond to the needs of utilities, multi-utilities and municipalities to become “Smarter”.

This new step in the partnership confirms the two Companies strongly believe in Paradox Engineering’s technology approach and vision to Smart City, with its PE.AMI multipurpose and open standard platform, fostered by NEC’s unique sales skills and market access. Indeed, this synergy will make PE.AMI more pervasively available to Cities, Municipalities and utility Companies, who will benefit from Paradox Engineering’s proven expertise in Smart City, Smart Metering and Smart Grid combined with NEC’s Information and Communication technologies and energy solutions.

For NEC Europe, energy efficiency and Smart Grids represent key challenges and new relevant growth markets, where it brings business experience in lithium-ion rechargeable battery, and expertise and solutions for intelligent systems delivering energy management and storage.

The two Companies will work together on joint promotion activities, trade shows, end user and customers’ seminars. Furthermore, demonstration equipment of Paradox Engineering’s technology has already been installed at NEC Italy premises, where customers will have the opportunity to be shown the potential and the capabilities of PE.AMI.

Additionally, Paradox Engineering will share its know-how and experience with NEC though ongoing support to ensure the development of business and sales.

The cooperation between NEC and Paradox Engineering started back in 2011 with a Memorandum of Understanding that allowed the two Companies to jointly explore the challenging path to manage energy resources in a smarter way and therefore increase sustainable performance of communities and cities.

Paradox Engineering and NEC are currently already working together on concrete opportunities and projects in Italy as well as in Europe.
